Consumer Rights

As a customer purchasing from TrueIceland, you are entitled to the consumer protections provided under Icelandic and applicable European Economic Area (EEA) law, including:

Right of withdrawal. You have the right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving any reason. To exercise this right, contact us by email with your order number. Perishable goods (food, refrigerated items) are exempt from the right of withdrawal in accordance with Article 14(d) of Act No. 45/2000.

Refunds. If you exercise your right of withdrawal, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including the cost of standard delivery, without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date we are informed of your decision to withdraw. You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods unless the goods are defective or incorrectly delivered.

Defective goods. Under the Consumer Purchases Act (nr. 48/2003), you have the right to a remedy (repair, replacement, price reduction, or cancellation) if goods are defective. The statutory complaint period is two years from delivery.

Customs, Duties & Import Taxes

TrueIceland ships from Iceland. Depending on your country of residence, your order may be subject to local import duties, VAT, or customs handling fees upon arrival. These charges are determined by your local customs authority, not by TrueIceland, and are the responsibility of the customer. We are unable to predict or prepay these charges.

Intellectual Property

All content on trueiceland.com — including text, photography, graphic design, logos, and the TrueIceland wordmark — is the property of Dropship ehf. or its licensors and is protected under Icelandic and international copyright law. Product names, brand names, and trademarks of third-party manufacturers (including but not limited to Freyja, Nói Síríus, Góa, Lýsi, Egils, Te og Kaffi) remain the property of their respective owners and are used on this site for identification purposes only.

Limitation of Liability

TrueIceland makes every effort to ensure that product descriptions, images, and pricing on trueiceland.com are accurate. However, we do not warrant that all information is error-free. In the event of a pricing or description error, we reserve the right to cancel or correct the order and will notify you promptly.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dropship ehf. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this website or the purchase of products from TrueIceland.

Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us first at trueiceland@trueiceland.com so that we can resolve the matter directly.

If a resolution cannot be reached, consumers within the EEA may submit a complaint to the Icelandic Consumer Agency (Neytendastofa):

Governing Law

This legal notice and all transactions conducted through trueiceland.com are governed by the laws of Iceland. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the District Court of Reykjavík (Héraðsdómur Reykjavíkur), unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.
